Introduction

After being inspired by a couple of friends, I have decided to get back in shape. After the birth of my son a little over a year ago I was very consistent about going to the gym. Then I had surgery and never went back. I kept telling myself that I would start next week, but "next week" never came. Well I am here to say that there is no more "next week" and there is no more "tomorrow." I'm done with excuses! The time is now and I'm going to do this.

My goal is not to lose a set amount of weight or get down to a specific clothing size, but to be comfortable with what my body looks like. I want my husband to put his arm around my waist without me wondering if he can feel my love handles. I want my old confidence back, and the extra energy that comes along with being fit.

Here's my goal plan:

DIET:
This is simple, I don't diet. I absolutely refuse! I enjoy food and to deprive myself of something that I enjoy so much just does not seem fair. I am going to eat what I want, I'm just not going to eat a ton of it. I will never feel guilty for eating a big slice of cake, or for having two cookies instead of one. What I will do, is make up for the bad by adding more good. The book Naturally Thin by Bethenny Frankel explains this in detail for anyone that wants to know more.

EXERCISE:
I will be using an assortment of Jillian Michael's DVDs, P90X, lots of running, and anything else that catches my eye.

I can not promise to post every single day, but I will try my best to update often.
